$8.56 for a pair of reading glasses at Family Dollar

Do you remember the days when everything was like $1 at the Family Dollar well those days are gone. I walked into a Family Dollar get a pair of reading glasses because my broke and I realized that it's cheaper to buy 2 of them at Walmart Is there one a Family Dollar.

I picked a pair and walked to the register the lady scanned it and told me $8.56

Why do they still call it family dollarsAnyway if you wanna buy something what's for cheap nowadays go to Walmart or something.
