How big is your tribe?
🔗 Share this on: Facebook TwitterRight now, you are probably a member of one or more tribes -- and you don't even know it. Let me tell you about this book I read that made me realize that I am in fact a part of many tribes.
The book itself is called "Tribes" by a man named Seth Godin. And let me tell you -- it changed how I see myself and the world around me. The book made me realize that I'm part of many tribes, and so are you.
You just haven't called them that.
What's a Tribe, Really?
In the book, Seth Godin explains that a tribe is just a group of people connected to:
- An idea
- Each other
- And usually, a leader
That's it. A tribe doesn't have to live in the same place or dress the same or speak the same language. If you share a belief or a goal with others, and you talk to each other about it -- that's a tribe.
Think about it:
- Your family is a tribe.
- Your group chat? That's a tribe.
- Your Facebook cooking group? Tribe.
- The people who follow your videos or blog? Yep, tribe.
You Might Already Be Leading One
Here's the part that really hit me...
Seth says that most people wait around for someone else to take the lead. But in today's world, you don't need a title to be a leader.
If you care enough about something, and you're willing to speak up and bring people together -- you are a leader.
So ask yourself:
How many people are already listening to you, without you realizing it?
That's the kind of wake-up call this book can give you.

What the Book Did for Me
Before reading Tribes, I thought leadership was for "those people" -- CEOs, influencers, or public speakers. But now I realize I already have a voice. And if I want to make a difference, all I have to do is use it.
It's a fact. I already started a tribe. I started one long ago when I launched my first newsletter online.
Maybe you did too.
This book doesn't give you a step-by-step manual. It just opens your mind and shifts your thinking. And sometimes, that's exactly what you need.
Want to Read It for Yourself?
If you're curious about leadership, community, or just making more impact with what you already love to do, I highly recommend this book.
