Even with social distancing COVID-19 could still leave 100,000 to 240,000 people dead in the United States
In a White House briefing, President Trump warned "the surge is coming and it is coming pretty strong." Trump's tells the US population to prepare for "a very painful 2 weeks."
Social distancing guidelines is "a matter of life and death," President Trump said as the White House projects that 100,000 to 240,000 people are expected to die in the United States even with the extended social distancing guidelines.
If America fails to do social distancing the worst-case scenarios shows that the coronavirus would cause 1.6 million to 2.2 million deaths in the United States.
