Did you know: A superstar's tour bus has 12 bunk beds, that's what Lyle Lovett's driver told me
Lyle Lovett and his large band were in town over the weekend and I got to take a couple of his tour bus drivers so their hotel.
That's when I learned that most of these big tour buses only have 12 seats and 12 bunk beds so that the artist can ride comfortably to the next performance city.
The bunk beds are 6 on each side, 2 rows, 3 levels high.
I hear the tour bus bunks at the bottom are the most comfortable but noisy because of road noise; the ones on top are less noisy but they kinda swing as the bus rides down the road.
Some of the seats are towards the front of the bus, there's a nice lounge in the back of the bus, and the bunk beds are towards the middle.
It took 4 of these big buses to take Lyle Lovett to Indianapolis.
Did you know that Lyle Lovett was married to Julia Roberts?
